The long-delayed sentencing of the Purgers implicated in the L.A. River poisonings was finally scheduled to take place today.  But late last night I got wind that their trial date has been pushed back indefinitely.  Other than an off-handed mention by Starla Carter on the latest episode of “Crisis,” the local and national news completely glossed over this story.

And absolutely no one is reporting the true reason behind this latest delay: the Purgers in question have vanished from their holding cells at the Mira Loma Detention Center.  This information comes to us from what appears to be official correspondence from within the LA County Sheriff’s department, but the routing addresses normally associated with these kinds of electronic releases are conspicuously absent.

As a matter of fact, I don’t recognize these routing addresses at all.

UPDATE:  I’ve done some more electronic legwork, Constant Readers, and I came across something I wasn’t expecting; the Mira Loma Detention Center was built by Reine Construction – a subsidiary of Roi International… part of the King empire.  Coincidence? Perhaps… but we here at the Flashlight don’t believe in coincidences.

Constant Readers, I’ve troubling news – it turns out there may have been inside elements working with the Purgers in their criminal acts of water contamination.  Sources tell me that two execs within the DWP hierarchy, one Miles Gibbens and a Lavender Cowly have both mysteriously disappeared in the past week. I don’t have solid details yet, but the coincidence is blindingly obvious; preliminary court hearings for the Purgers are due to begin next week. Is this the Orphan’s doing? Or is this something perpetrated by this Fury of Solace? Or maybe even the ubiquitous King cleaning house now that we’re hot on his trail. And above all, why haven’t the local news networks reported on this?
